Independent.

Nurse Led.

On Your Side.

SG67 Health Consultancy is an independent, nurse-led advocacy and consultancy service dedicated to one purpose: helping UK families access the NHS Continuing Healthcare funding they are legally entitled to.

Our approach is straightforward: honest advice,

clinical rigour, and a commitment to taking only cases where we believe we can make a genuine difference. If we cannot help, we will tell you - clearly, and at no cost to you.

Why we Exist

Across decades of nursing practice, one pattern kept repeating:

families were paying thousands for care that the NHS should have been funding - because no one told them they qualified, or because the assessment that should have protected them had gone wrong.

CHC assessments are clinical decisions. When a nurse who understands the criteria sits in that room, the outcome can be very different.

SG67 exists to put that knowledge on your side - at a cost that is fair. Because the size of someone's bank balance should never determine the quality of their care.

Our clinical team has direct, hands-on experience in:

Completing and coordinating the Decision Support Tool (DST)

Funded Nursing Care (FNC) assessments

Fast Track pathway applications and challenges

Personal Health Budget (PHB) management and review

CHC Checklist (Tool 11) completion and challenge

Court of Protection and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) documentation

our principles and approach

SG67 is guided by a small number of clear principles that underpin every case we handle. These standards shape our approach and set the level of care, advocacy, and integrity we bring to every client.

Honest before we start

We assess every case before agreeing to take it forward. If we do not believe there are reasonable grounds to proceed - whether for an initial application, an appeal, or a retrospective claim - we will tell you directly, explain why, and advise on any alternatives. We do not take cases simply to generate fees.

Clinical, not commercial

Every assessment, appeal submission, and advocacy decision we make is grounded in clinical evidence - the same evidence framework that NHS assessors use. We do not rely on procedural technicalities or legal arguments. We challenge decisions on clinical grounds, because that is where the strongest cases are built.

End-to-End

When SG67 takes a case, we manage it from start to finish. We review records, attend assessments, prepare submissions, liaise with the ICB, and keep you informed at every stage. You will not be handed between staff or left to navigate correspondence alone.

Person-centred, always

The person whose care is at stake is at the centre of everything we do. Their needs, their preferences, their dignity. Not the paperwork. Not the process. Throughout our careers in nursing, this has been the standard we have held ourselves to - and it does not change in consultancy.

Who We Help

SG67 can help you if:

You are an adult child watching a parent's savings disappear into care home fees - fees you suspect the NHS should be covering, but no one has explained how to challenge that.

You have received a CHC refusal letter and do not know whether the decision was correct, whether you have grounds to appeal, or even where to start.

Your loved one's condition is deteriorating quickly and you have been told that urgent NHS funding (Fast Track CHC) has been refused or is not available. You need someone who can act immediately.

You paid for a parent's care privately for months or years before they passed away, and you have since discovered that retrospective CHC claims may be possible. You want to understand whether that applies to you.

Your loved one is already receiving CHC-funded care, but the Personal Health Budget does not seem sufficient to cover their actual needs.

You are attending a CHC assessment soon and you do not know what to expect, what to say, or how to ensure the person's needs are properly represented.
